This poem was written by my friend Meg when she found out I was going to propose to my girlfriend for valentines day. One problem, we are over one thousand miles apart. I'm in Michigan in college, and she's in North Carolina in college.

The Plan:
Send the Ring, a velvet rose, some Peppermints, and this poem to her in the mail. It will arrive on Valentines day, and when she gets home from a long day at school this package will be sitting on the counter waiting.

Hopefully I'll get an excited call that afternoon with a "yes" on the other end. I wish i could give it to her in person, but i don;t have the money to fly down and do that.

The rings you see in the preview pic are the rings I picked out. They reminded me of the rings from 'Only the Ring Finger Knows" one of my fave Romance novels, and when i saw TWO IDENTICAL rings like that my jaw dropped. They are also both the correct sizes to be worn on each of our left hand ring finger.

I'm so nervous. I hope she says 'yes' Valentines day won;t come soon enough for me now.
